More Fields for Bookstore

I am starting a bookstore and have added several books already. To this point I add the author, pages numbers, paperback or hard cover, etc to the description (when I remember). I know there must be a way to have that as a field when adding a new product rather than relying on the description, but I have not found it yet. Thanks for the help.

it creates new product type to cater for people selling books online.
