New to Online PAYMENTS

Hi Everyone,

Am a newbie to online payments and payments processing as a whole so I was wondering if one of you Zencart whizzes could help me.
Naturally am using ZenCart but am stuck with the payments side of things. The client already has a Streamline merchant account for offline credit card processing so with this in mind what payment gateway will I have to use to avoid setting up a new merchant account with someone else.
Also client does not want to use paypal as it is too expensive in comparison to how much he currently pays Streamline which is:

Monthly Terminal rental: £19.95

Charges percentages:
Mastercard - 2.4%, Visa - 2.3%, Commercial Cards – 3%

Transaction charges pence per transaction:
Delta – 31.88, Maestro – 45.00, Solo – 45.00, Electron – 31.88

Any ideas anyone??? If I sound like am not making any sense please do tell me and I will try and explain better.

To accept offline payments for C.Cards from his/her zenshop, your client must ensure that the terms of his/her Merchant Account allow for this. There are considerable security issues - especially if you are hosting on a shared server. Most merchant account providers insist on dedicated servers and these must be set up with all sorts of security layers in order to comply with the terms.

If your client ignores this, and collects card data to then process via the terminal, he/she will be liable for any/all losses (including consequential losses) and will in all probability be black-listed from holding a C.Card Merchant Account.

In short... it's not worth the potential hazzard of collecting c.card data via the c-card module, to then process it through the EPOS terminal.

Streamline's sister company is WORLDPAY, and there is a ZC module for processing WORLDPAY transactions via their online gateway.

thanks sorry i forgot to mention he doesn't want to do offline payments anymore, he wants to take online payments now with the entire process going through the shop and not third party pages.
