Where to start looking for problems

Cannot get past trying to connect to database in setup.

All settings and password are correct. Confirmed with ISP that DB does exist and is named correctly and all othre settings are as I am entering them.

Deleted and reinstalled Zencart, twice in case had bad install.

Deleted and remade DB several times.

Have another Cart on different site with same ISP (Fatcow)

ANy suggestion on where to start looking for answers? Isp suggested contacting Zen as they have no idea what may be the problem,

Thanks so much.

This can only mean that the DB details are not correct????
See if they use "localhost as the DB server or if the have another method for the mysql DB server
