Copyright of my images

I have used auto-watermark (come along with image handler 2) to protect my pictures. The pictures shown on my shopping cart will have the watermark in it. However, if people go directly to my image folder using direct url, they can easily see and download those pictures without the watermark.

Can it be avoid be setting some appropriate file access authority setting? Or I have to add the watermarks one by one rather than using the auto-watermark feature?

Can any expert help?

You can protect your images folder by putting a blank file named index.html in it. If anyone types in http://yourURL/images all they will see is this blank page.

PGlad,

Good to know! Thanks!

Tina

I've been doing that for years. I usually put a redirect in to send the nosey parkers to the home page. :P Something like below:

<html>
<head>
<title>Welcome to my site</title>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh"
CONTENT="5;URL=http://mydomain.com/index.html">
</head>

Afo,

You are too kind!

I was gonna make a "You're a creep - stay out!" sign for mine. :smile:
