Shipping to Northern Ireland ... which country is it?

Does anyone know what country you ship to if you're shipping to a country in Northern Ireland via the US Post Office? Is it the UK or is it Ireland? If the former, there seems to be a problem in the add ons.

I installed the zones for the UK available under the add ons and a customer tried to sign up from Derry in Northern Ireland and couldn't, even though that's part of the UK. So I then installed the entire country of Ireland (rather than just the Republic of Ireland) and now Derry shows up under Ireland. The customer is concerned about signing up because she doesn't feel the package will get to her because she insists she lives in the UK.

I imagine I can transfer those zones to the UK rather easily but before I do, I wanted to find out what country people actually shipped to when they shipped to counties in Northern Ireland.

Ug. I think what happened is when I deleted all the countries and started to add them back in, I used zone add-ons that weren't appropriate. Is there a way to get those countries and counties back somewhere as I want to add them? Perhaps a SQL file?

Ug again. I take that back. Apparently the default zencart doesn't have UK or Ireland zones. I so have no idea what country to put Northern Ireland in.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and try to figure out something similar to you though I'm from the UK...
So, could you tell me which modul do you use and how did you installe the "...zones for the UK" ?
My main issue is that I'm selling equipment of various sizes and weight and from various warehouses in the UK and EU. I've included part of the delivery cost in my prices but can do so only for UK mainland. I also need to set up destinations for Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland plus EU and rest of the world... I have a modul called "Zone Rates" for different countries and another modul called "United Kingdom Zone Rates for Couriers" for three zones inside the UK: zone 1: UK mainland, zone 2: Scottish Highlands and zone 3: NI, Isles etc.
I'd appreciate any help guys!
