Need 2 drop down boxes for 1 product

How did you get your Fabrics category to open to the other options of cotton/then colors etc?

I think I answered this in another thread, but just in case, I set up the Fabrics category, then did NOT put any products in that category but immediately set up the subcategories. Once you put products in a category, the set-up-subcategory option is no longer available.

Re: Need 2 drop down boxes for 1 product

How can I set up options for a product that has a check box and a text box like you have for your candle example link you put onthe site? I am trying to do the same thing but for custom cofee mugs

Re: Need 2 drop down boxes for 1 product

Ok, I know that I am reading this several months later, but I also have a question about attributes. I have a product, and in one attribute I have a choice of sizes. I need another choice for color, but each size has its own color chart. Can I set it up so that when a customer picks a certain size, only the colors for that size will show up as the attribute? I am new to Zen, but I think that there is a way to do it, but I just don't see it. Thanks!!!!

That is called dependent attributes, and unfortunately there is no practical way to make them work at present. You would need some professional-level recoding to achieve it for your particular situation.

There is a variant that might do it for you, Product Attribute Grid from Free Addons. It can handle availability for different combinations of two option names; I don't know if you can associate images with them.
