Difference between order amount and payment recieved via PayPal

I have never had this happen before so thought might ask here before I bother the customer..

The amount for an order was 100.50 , but the amount PayPal shows received when the customer paid is only 81.00.

Something possibly gone haywire in my ZC settings someplace?

make sure that its not a currency exchange issue

My bad...

Turns out my cart allowed the customer to use a discount coupon that expired a month ago.

I knew there was not any discounts up now. Not sure why the cart allowed the use of it..

Any how, I finally saw it and all is well..
