Installing New Templates - Do not show in Admin.

I have unzipped and uploaded a few different templates ( all correct zen version) into the FTP for my site.

They are located at: /mydomain.com/includes/templates/

I do not see any templates under admin.

Here is a screenshot of what I see :

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?

I've looked through the Wiki and the starting threads, but have not found a solution.

Thanks.

Re: Installing New Templates - Do not show in Admin.

If you click the dropdown arrow next to classic on the far right - see anything there?

HealeyV3:

I have unzipped and uploaded a few different templates ( all correct zen version) into the FTP for my site.

They are located at: /mydomain.com/includes/templates/
Each Template should be in its own directory and named accordingly.

/mydomain.com/includes/templates/classic
/mydomain.com/includes/templates/template1
/mydomain.com/includes/templates/template_default

etc.

Within each dir. should also be a file called "template_info.php" which is used by Zen Cart to allow you to select that Template.

If the dir. is there and the "template_info.php" is there but you still cannot choose from the Admin section, then perhaps there is a permission problem?

The learning is in the doing.

Re: Installing New Templates - Do not show in Admin.

It is exactly as you stated.
Each one is in that templates directory, along with each one has template.info.php

What do you mean by permission problem?

Re: Installing New Templates - Do not show in Admin.

folders and files have permissions assigned to them you can chmod then from shell access and some FTP programs but you should be able to look with a file manager and see what permissions are set on those folders, before you go changing anything.

Re: Installing New Templates - Do not show in Admin.

I'm not familiar with chmod or even shell processes, but WS_FTP says this:

if you search for file and folder permissions I believe that you will find that your folders should be at 755, but you should search I can't remember what I did yesterday!
