New product added showing after disabling said product

After adding a product today, my supplier now says it does not stock any more but will be receiving an updated one later this month. Rather than delete the product(and redo later), I changed the status to 'off'. Now it does not show under the category link but still shows under products added for the month.

How do I remove it from that list?

yes thank you! followed Linda's instrunctions and now works. I will keep that thread bookmarked and look at if before posting again.
