edit the index / hompage template

i want to added some html / javascript / php into the homepage avobe where the define page editor added the text.

whats the file i need to edit??

templates/mytemplate/.....

.../common/tpl_index_default.php (though the javascript would be best loaded via Zen Cart's in-built loading mechanism)

tpl_index_default.php is the in the includes/templates default/templates not in common

should i copy it from the templates to my temples common and edit or make a folder in my templte called template, been a while since i changed my site so i forgetting

My bad. The copy you work on should go to the templates folder of your template.

Hey guys, I am using ZenCart 1.3.8.

I have copied tpl_index_default into my templates folder. I noticed however this seems to only edit the actual 'center column' area?

I want to be able to re-arrange my sideboxes on the homepage only, so they float below a center section - But ONLY on the homepage.

Is there a over-all homepage template instead of just the center column template?

The overall page layout is controlled by the common/tpl_main_page.php template and layout intended for, or excluded from, the home page can be targeted using the $this_is_home_page variable.
