Featured Items from different categories

Hello,

I have looked in the forums to find an answer to this question, and attempted to examine the code in the Zencart for a solution, but cannot find one.

On my home page I have it split into two boxes I created on my own. Box #1 features video, and Box #2 features photography.

I have set up my ZenCart so that I have two separate categories (video and photos) with several sub-categories in them.

My question is how can I show only the video category (in the featured/new/upcoming items) in Box #1? Likewise then, how can I show only the photo category in box #2?

As Zencart appears to be set up now, on the home page, it will show all featured/new/upcoming items regardless of category. The only time it gets filtered by category is when the user is actually inside the category itself.

I have become quite saavy with editing ZenCart files, and using templates, so don't be afraid to get technical.

Thanks guys..
