Orders Not Recording (Authorize.net AIM)

There have been 3 customers that have placed orders on my site that never showed up in the system. Any recommendations on where to start? Here are some notes:

  • Authorize.net (AIM) is the only payment module.
  • The customers did receive a confirmation email from Zen-Cart. (I had the customers forward me these emails.)
  • I noticed the order numbers were much lower (i.e. 7, 9, etc.) than what they should've been issued for the date of their order.
  • The confirmation email says "Credit Card" for the Payment Method. Should it say this or say Authorize.net?

Any advice would be appreciated. If this issue has already been addressed in another forum, could you send me that link?

Thank you so much!

Re: Orders Not Recording (Authorize.net AIM)

did you try putting the module in debug mode?, and run a test to see what it sayes.

you should try to recreate the problem, so you can see what it is actually doing.

Re: Orders Not Recording (Authorize.net AIM)

Whenever I test the module, I have no problems. And again, this has only happened with 2-3 orders out of hundreds. Is there anything else I can do? Anything else to look for? Thanks for your help.

It should say "Credit Card" unless you've changed the default wording in the module's language file.

I've seen this happen on two other occasions, and in both cases those orders were actually placed on the sellers TEST website, and not on their LIVE website. I've no idea how they found the test site, but that's where they had placed their orders, and that's why the order numbers were different than expected.

Re: Orders Not Recording (Authorize.net AIM)

Ah. That would explain everything -- low order numbers, not in the database, credit cards not processing, etc. That gives me a direction to go with this. Thanks, guys!
