I have no idea what's going on...help!!

I logged onto my store to add things to the catalog and all of a sudden a strange bunch of letters appears at the top of my page in Safari and Firefox. I'm not sure about IE or any other browsers, but I can only assume that these random letters show up in IE as well. Anybody wanna take a stab as to what is going on and how to fix it?

Did you edit any core files? If so, what program did you use to edit them?

Are you using a Mac to manage your site? If so, what program(s) do you use to manage the site?

This looks like a corrupted core file. Corrupted through an improper edit.

I did try and install the Zen Lightbox add on with no success at all...instead I just got this lovely new error message on my page!

as data_digger mentioned , this is added Mac osx .. it seems to be some kinda attribute thing.. when downloads are marked like that representing virus of some sort.
since you downloaded lightbox , i assume your OS , added those attributes to downloaded file.

simply look to see what core files were touched by lightbox contribution. and try to delete those stuff manually or if you have your backup files, then just replace the taged ones.

Ok...will try that now.

One more question. If I installed an SQL Patch for this Zen Lightbox add on also, would I need to undo anything there or is it safe to just run the uninstall SQL Patch that came with the Zen Lightbox package?

just run the uninstaller patch that came with contrib ..
