Removing Mandatory Fields from Contact Form?

Hey Guys,

Is there a way to remove the Mandatory Field check in the Contact Form ?

All i wish to make Mandatory is the email and message. I wish to leave Name / Phone No. / Location Voluntary.

How can i do this ?

Are you using some sort of addon for your contact us?

The stock install only has name, email address and message.

oops yes, "Add phone no. to contact us" contribution has been installed also.

I managed to disable the javascript notification in the includes -> Modules -> Pages -> contact_us -> header_php.php

by disabling whichever notification lines i required (line 145 onwards)

but then im faced with a minimum value problem. And all search results on this forum lead to answers with the Sign up form, not the contact us form.

If anyone can shed some light on to where i can set minimum values for the contact form that would be greatly appreciated... im going insane :( :cry:

Still need a solution for this.

Not sure where to look as there is a jscript_form_check.php for the customer sign up, but not for the contact form?? i don't understand where its validating? :blink:
