Homepage Bestsellers Sidebox Help Needed!

Hi all,

I have just noticed something on my website when comparing with ie7 and ff3 if you have a look at the bestsellers sidebox on the homepage in FF the font size/colour has gone different and i havent made any changes recently. All other sideboxes seem fine.

Can someone please assist urgently.

Thanks

Hmmm. This is subtle. It appears that you have a deprecated and unclosed font tag in the blank sidebox that you are using for your live help box.

It shouldn't be where it is, and because it's not closed, Firefox is busy trying to wrap it around anything else in that column that it is allowed to be wrapped around in a bid to find out where it should live. I suspect that IR7 is just throwing it away.

The tag looks something like this when rendered in a browser

<font style="font-family: verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 8px; color: #000000;">and the 8px bit is what is causing the small text in FF.

Basically you need to hunt it down and kill it. And if you can take out some of the nonsensical deeply nested DIVs supplied by your template vendor on the way, the World would be a better place.

Not a question I can answer I'm afraid as I haven't been close enough to one to see where they're inserting this stuff.

I did a bit of playing around and i changed the font size but it seems as though its still completely different in mozilla such as the heading size and know the cart summary text is half white....

Cloing it merely renders it inert, but it and adds zero value to your site. I recommend that you delete it completely.
