I need two, diferent, Welcome Emails or ...

I sell basically an access code (or, if you like, a serial number) to 'unlock' access to a second (ie: not the shop site) website. This is delivered digitally - within the (edited) payment confirmation email.

In practice this means that currently my 'customers' get two 'Welcome eMails' - the first when they successfully Register and the second when their payment is verified via PayPal IPN. I have had to significantly modify the 'standard' welcome email for the delivery (second) email, however, I have just noticed that BOTH emails are created using the modified file(s) - the first email does not contain the serial number but it does look naff!

So, I think that the simple fix would be to get rid of/dispense with the first (Registration) email.

What I'd rather do is have two different emails.

Unfortunately, although I've spent some hours looking through this support site, the Tutorials/FAQs and the Wiki, whilst I've learned lots I can't see how to achieve either of these... any suggestions from anyone?

Apologies, I should of course have also said - I'm using 1.3.8a :blush:

Goto wiki, check the 'observer' class, what you need to do is to use 'observer' to dispatch the 2nd email once the order is completed.
