Is there a way to "hide" attributes?

Okay, I've taken most of those discussions and merged them together here so they can be kept in one spot rather than left as unfinished disjointed topics.

I was extremely excited when I found this thread: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142161 and followed the directions as well as I could, only to find when I clicked on the product page, there was no description any longer
The changes in that thread have nothing to do with the product-page. The changes are only for the product-listing page.

Thus, it is most likely that you've incorrectly edited one or more of the files when making the many changes required.
And/or perhaps one or more of the indicated changes might be conflicting with other changes you've made as a result of your own customizations or addons you've installed.

The changes indicated do work just fine on a clean fresh v1.3.8a install.
