can zencart do this, too? (order notification like x-cart)

i´m using zencart now for a long time and i must say i love that one can add modules, etc.
now i´m working for another store who uses the x-cart system. as a manufacturer you have a complete backend for your store. now my question: is there a similar module for zencart?

customer orders something from two or more manufacturers and all manufacturers are notified of the products the customer has bought from him and not from the others?

Otherwise, Zen Cart can be customized to email the manufacturer with each order based on each manufacturer's products that are in the order so that they only see their own ...

AUTO EMAIL ORDER TO A SPECIFIC MANUFACTURER

I would love to see this feature as am developing lots of websites with 1000's of products and unique manufacturers.

Is it possible to hard code the following?

1. Edit the 'manufacturers.php' include manufacturers email address instead of URL or as an addition.

2. Include a line of php to say - email order to item manufacturer email in addition to the website admin email - index.php?main_page=checkout_confirmation

It would also need logic to filter out other manufacturers' items from the message, and send a separate e-mail to every manufacturer with products in an order when appropriate.
