copy database to another zencart site

I am producing another Zencart site and want to import all data at one go from my old zencart site, can this be done?
I am on version 1.3.6 PHP 4.3.9.

The second site is with another service provider.

Is it possible with easy populate?

Thanks

Re: copy database to another zencart site

Easy Populate will handle products, not your entire database (customers/orders/etc..)

Thanks for replying Tina, but there seems no quick fix for this.

Cheers

Re: copy database to another zencart site

Take a backup of your files and database.
Upload the files to the new server.
Create a new database on the new server.
Import your existing database into the new database.
Make the required changes in the two configure.php files.
includes/configure.php
admin/includes/configure.php
It works for me

Re: copy database to another zencart site

Copying the database and using it on another store is relatively straight forward as Sarad indicates, but there's a little more to it and it's vital that you check a few things once you've got the copy running on the other server/website.

  1. Run the fix_cache_key.php file (lots of info on this forum).
  2. Check all embedded full URL paths (particularly ezpages).
