jScroller Sidebox Package Support Thread

dw08gm:

Is it possible to change the flow direction of the scroller, where the image scrolls downwards rather than upwards.

TIA

Choose the sidebox you wish to change: (the example below is from the "whats new" sidebox) but the change is valid for all the sideboxes.

Find the following line of code:

	$content .= '<div class="scroller_container"><div class="jscroller2_up jscroller2_speed-20 jscroller2_mousemove">' . $wn .'</div>

Replace with the following:

	$content .= '<div class="scroller_container"><div class="jscroller2_down jscroller2_speed-20 jscroller2_mousemove">' . $wn .'</div>

An upgraded version of jScroller Sidebox Package compatible with ZC v1.3.9 should be available in the downloads section shortly.

Re: jScroller Sidebox Package Support Thread

clydejones:

Post something in the jquery zoom support thread.

Hi Clyde
Ive posted in the jquery zoom and lightbox thread but it seems as if there is no support.

In the previous posts it was noted that it has something to do with the minify script. Ive even been on the google groups for minify support but I just cant manage to get things sorted.

If you have found a fix then i would love to hear how it can be resolved

just in case you need the site url then its

http://www.zainabscollection.com

its the featured sidebox top left which should be scrolling but it isnt

thanks

I'm not familiar with how the minify script works so I'm unable to offer a viable solution

You can try this fix and see if it helps.

first open includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/jscript

delete the following file: jscript_scroller.php

now just unzip the package and rename the YOUR_TEMPLATE folder to match your custom template name and upload the entire includes folder to your server.

Hi Clyde,

How are ya mate? I'm quite experianced with cart now, all thanks to you, been very helpful.

I have found the solution for abs007 or anyone who has installed minify or jqzoom and jqlight box modules.

All you have to do is to copy the jscroller2-1.5.js from js folder (in the contribution) and add the file in (I know thats repeatition but it works)
/includes/templates/Your_Template/jscript/jquery.
Note JQUERY is the same folder where all the files for the jquery contributions are.

Best of luck.

Cheers!

Re: jScroller Sidebox Package Support Thread

I was wondering if it is possible to change the images on the scrolling sidebox? I know how to do it on the other headings however when I tried it on this one I couldn't get it to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by changing images? As these images are randomly selected depending on how many you have (featured/specials/new etc)

Re: jScroller Sidebox Package Support Thread

Is there a way to add spacing or divider in between each item listing? Trying to mess around with the paddings and can't seem to get the effect I want. Great mod tho, I just switched to this over the old best sellers scrolling sidebar mod because it was not working iN IE8.

open includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/tpl_best_sellers.php

find the following section of code:

    $bsl .= '<li><a href="' . zen_href_link(zen_get_info_page($bestsellers_list[$i]['id']), 'products_id=' . $bestsellers_list[$i]['id']) . '">' . zen_trunc_string($bestsellers_list[$i]['name'], BEST_SELLERS_TRUNCATE, BEST_SELLERS_TRUNCATE_MORE) . '</a><br /><a href="' . zen_href_link(zen_get_info_page($bestsellers_list[$i]['id']), 'products_id=' . $bestsellers_list[$i]['id']) . '">' .  zen_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $bestsellers_list[$i]['image'], $bestsellers_list[$i]['name'], SMALL_IMAGE_WIDTH, SMALL_IMAGE_HEIGHT) .'</a><br /></li>' . "\n";

AND replace it with the following:

    $bsl .= '<li><a href="' . zen_href_link(zen_get_info_page($bestsellers_list[$i]['id']), 'products_id=' . $bestsellers_list[$i]['id']) . '">' . zen_trunc_string($bestsellers_list[$i]['name'], BEST_SELLERS_TRUNCATE, BEST_SELLERS_TRUNCATE_MORE) . '</a><br /><a href="' . zen_href_link(zen_get_info_page($bestsellers_list[$i]['id']), 'products_id=' . $bestsellers_list[$i]['id']) . '">' .  zen_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $bestsellers_list[$i]['image'], $bestsellers_list[$i]['name'], SMALL_IMAGE_WIDTH, SMALL_IMAGE_HEIGHT) .'</a><br /><hr /></li>' . "\n";

What are your settings in:

admin -> configuration -> maximum values -> Random New Products for SideBox

AND

admin -> configuration -> maximum values -> Random Featured Products for SideBox

Yes Thanks Clyde that fixed my non-scrolling issue. Perhaps mention it in the readme file might save people some time searching on the thread.

Cheers! Great Mod:D

Basic zen Cart admin setting.
admin -> configuration -> Index Listing -> Show Featured Products on Main Page (set to 0)

You can scroll up, down, left or right
I'm not aware of any other way(s) to scroll them.

Re: jScroller Sidebox Package Support Thread

Thanx for prompt response - my wife loves the scroll on the front of her site
I meant a different choice of product ie some way to choose what gets displayed
did not mean direction of scroll
