How to Add Flash Carousel to main page?

Ok I've read through all the threads that talk about this but have still not been able to figure this out. I Need step by step instructions on how to put a flash carousel on the main page. Also is there any module available where I could download this?
PLease I've tried this on my own and really don't know where to go nor how to proceed.

Why not using js which can create same effect? And easier to manage.

I have the carousel working on the page but how do i get it to auto display featured items?

ok.. you mean just add featured products image urls in xml file to display Carousel flash on main page ??
i tried this way and worked perfectly..
but is there anyway to load featured or new products automaticaly ??
