Alternate view for Categories/Subcategories

I'm trying to move the design to a Zen Cart template and I need to display the Main Category like the h3.leftBoxHeading and hide the word "Categories" and then display the subcategories below the main category. If I can just get the subcategories to display on the left navigation, then I can use CSS to hide the main headings and give the main categories the h3.leftBoxHeading treatment. How can I do this?

You don't want to hide categories, as you can just not display it or you can change the text???

Get the categories dressing 3rd party module from the downloads area as it will allow you to do much of what you need with images for titles etc

I ended up using this:

and then using
#chcategoriesHeading { display:none; }

Works great.

If you really want the "Nautical Decor" and "Gift Ideas" to be categories that organize the subcats, you will need to get one of the expanded categories mods; and Categories Dressing won't work with those because the underlying code is completely different.

If you can have the group headings as just headings, then you can move all of the categories to be topcats (give them sort orders in the category editing page), and use Cat Dressing to add the heading images and other styling as desired.
