Can't Login to change anything

Hi there :)

My friend and i have been trying to get this all day. I have searched through the forum here, and the help files and neither of us can seem to grasp just what the problem is.

The webhosting had a automatic install for zen cart.. so we did not install it manually but had the hosting service do that for us.

The problem now, is that when trying to access the admin section of the cart.. when the admin button is clicked we are taken to a page that has the error

"Directory has no index file.
Browsing this site or directory without an index file is prohibited.
If you are the site's webmaster, you can remedy this problem by creating a default HTML page with one of the following names:

index.html
index.htm
default.htm
Default.htm
home.html
Home.chtml"

We do have an index file.. and are not sure where to look for the problem or how to fix it so that we can start customizing our store.

ZenCart 3.0.1 is showing installed under my apps.
clicking the manage button brings up the version. webaddy and an uninstall button... but the admin button is what has the error.

First, there is no version 3.0.1 for zen cart.

In your file manager can you see an admin folder?
Is there an index/php and a login.php in the admin area?

well I don't know what version it is then.. that's the info that was right in the control section under ZenCart...

and yes.. it did have both of those files there... we have ended up just uninstalling it and installing it again...

so now that problem is gone and we have a different one.

I don't have a clue how these people get these up and running within a few hours. Guess I'm off to search some more..
