Changing DOB to this

I don't need a date of birth but I do need a Wedding Date from my customers. I looked in the contributions & didn't see one I could use to edit customer required fields so I was thinking...could I just edit the language file to make the DOB field say Wedding Date or will that mess up the db entries?

It would be a really easy fix if I could do that!

You can do that - you just have to remember that it was the DOB.
