Different Shipping Methods Per Category (2)?

I've done some research but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for...

Is it possible to set-up a different shipping method for each category (two categories total) in the store? Category 1 would use the flat rate method. Category 2 would use the FedEx (based on weight) add-on method.

How would I go about setting it up?

And -- would it be possible to use BOTH methods at the same time if the customer buys a product from both categories?

You would need to customize the Flat Rate flat shipping module to only show when the shopping cart holds only Category 1 products ...

Then, you would need to customize FedEx to not show when only Category 1 products are in the cart ...

Further, on the mixed cart, you would need to customize FedEx to add in the extra charge of the Flat Rate to handle the Category 1 products and only quote based on Category 2 Products ...

Do your Category 1 Products currently have weight on them?

If not, that will help with the combo cart as the weight will be correct for a FedEx quote and just adding in the additional charge can be done on the rate quotes ...

Can someone help me with using the UPS shipping module? I am currently using worldship and want to know if it can be integrated with ZenCart?

If not, how do I set my rates with ZenCart so they are the same as my rates using UPS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
