my itsy bitsy quantity discount table...

I realize that there are numerous posts about the quantity discount table, and I have read all of them. I've only been able to edit it slightly, the biggest problem being that the text is tiny and can barely be read. I've spent hours trying to change it with no luck.

It's on this page

WHAT am I missing about editing this table?

For that matter, my add to cart is also miniature. It looks like they're using the same font size, but I'll be :censored: if I can find it in the stylesheet.

Someone please clue me in.

Before putting the hat on, would you explain how you discovered the problem and how you fixed it.

Before putting the hat on, would you explain how you discovered the problem and how you fixed it.

I realized how to finally fix it when I started to edit the More Information pages and saw the tiny text. The default font in my stylesheet was something like 62.5em -- which meant nothing to me because I'm used to fonts being "px". So...went into my stylesheet, changed the 62.5em to 12px.

I also put a style for it in the stylesheet.

#qtyDiscountTable {
	border: 3px solid #C5B79E;
	float: right;
	margin: 0em 0em 0em 0em;
	font-weight: 700;
	}

In "tpl_product_info_display.php" put the table in a <div>:

<!--bof Quantity Discounts table -->
<div id="qtyDiscountTable">
<?php
  if ($products_discount_type != 0) { ?>
<?php
/**
 * display the products quantity discount
 */
 require($template->get_template_dir('/tpl_modules_products_quantity_discounts.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'templates'). '/tpl_modules_products_quantity_discounts.php'); ?>
<?php
  }
?></div>
<!--eof Quantity Discounts table -->

Then depending on how the table is being styled in stylesheet, you can take out the borders & change the padding of the table in "tpl_modules_products_quantity_discount.php".

I have mine as "<table border="0" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="5">"

It's simple changes but a real pain to figure out for a noob Zenner.

Re: my itsy bitsy quantity discount table...

I think you mean that the original font size setting was 62.5% not 62.5em. But that's normal for Zen Cart. If you find the font sizes too tiny, as I do too, just change 62.5% to something larger, perhaps 75% or 85% or whatever suits. No need to make any other changes elsewhere as the other font size settings in the stylesheet should be in em units, so they will be relative to that initial setting.

Remember, any time you use pixels as a unit you are trying to force a particular size, as you see it, onto someone else's screen, which may be quite different from yours. Best to use relative units, like em or percent.

Yup, you're right it was 62.5%. I'll try a percentage & see how that works out.

"the other font size settings in the stylesheet should be in em units, so they will be relative to that initial setting."

Aha! I get it now - thanks! :yes:
