Changing where "define main page" text is

Hi -

On the index page I have all categories showing in a grid which I really like. There is additional information that I want to put on that page, but I want it to be below the categories grid, not above it which is where it winds up.

Is it possible to change the order of the layout to:

Show Categories
My Text/etc. Defined (from define main page in Admin)

then whatever modules I want activated (featured products, etc.)

?

Here's a link to see the page now.

I believe the layout of the page is governed in:

tpl_index_default.php

Make a backup of the original of that file.

Shift elements around as suited to your needs.

Save the file

FTP the edited file to

includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/

Re: Changing where "define main page" text is

I've tried that page a couple of times but it doesn't seem to change.

I moved the entire block of code for define pages, to below where the block of code is to show categories.

Fairestcape's method is correct for what you require..

Maybe I'm moving the wrong code. I'll keep trying.

Make sure you move the block of code in both:

tpl_index_default.php and tpl_index_categories.php

Superb! So many posts on this subject, but only this one mentions to do it in the categories.php as well.
So many hours spent without the full info until now, thank you!

Re: Changing where "define main page" text is

I have the same question.

I moved the block of code in both files, but the categories.php file actually removes the featured products box altogether. Did I not move the entire block?

This is what I moved - is there something more with it? -

<?php if ($show_display_category->fields['configuration_key'] == 'SHOW_PRODUCT_INFO_CATEGORY_FEATURED_PRODUCTS') { ?> <?php /** * display the Featured Products Center Box */ ?> <?php require($template->get_template_dir('tpl_modules_featured_products.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'templates'). '/tpl_modules_featured_products.php'); ?> <?php } ?>

Re: Changing where "define main page" text is

That section of code is based on a processes for what order to display the Featured Products ...

The portion that runs the Featured Products is actually:

<?php require($template->get_template_dir('tpl_modules_featured_products.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'templates'). '/tpl_modules_featured_products.php'); ?>

If you were to comment that out in the section of code that you have marked, then you could move it where you want to display the Featured Products ...
