have ssl but not s on http ?

hi,
i installed a ssl it s working but there is no "s" on the http
site will show lock if you put a 's' on the end of the http but when calling another page the s goes away?
any ideas?

i see this in html_header.php isn't that calling all https pages?

Did you alter both config files to reflect you now have SSL?

yes i did the 2 files that need to call the logo and its there
but no s on the http
do i need to do something else besides
hard code all the files with a https?

Do not hard code anything - the program is smart and will use SSL on the pages it needs to if you configure it properly. Please follow the instructions in the FAQ I gave above.

If you are having a problem, then we'll need the URL.

your post with the link came up while i was posting

there is another way to this, in the control panel too with redirects
not quite sure how but its just 1 setting and no files need to be
fixed trying to figure it out now

rats did the change outlined but get a nasty red waring
about chmod but i made the file a 444 but still have the
warning

file is set to rw-r-r

had to use control panel and set to 444 644 still showed error
but still no s on the http
i set includes/configure.php to

what did you do,
your page redirects off to wikipedia

try renaming the htaccess file

just came home from work it loads just fine but still no
's' on any page unless i put it there

renaming .htaccess to .htaccess.old does nothing

when I tried to go to the link you have in your config file I am taken to wikipedia for the topic https,

I was hoping that maybe there was a redirect or something in there,

well there is somthing weird i pasted the
https://whidbeyislandmoped.com into the addressbar and it took me to
https://www.devices.com/ of all things.. i have nothing pointing there weird ..if i point https://whidbeyislandmoped.com/cart
it go to my site ..go figure??
i have no links anywhere the even point to the https but in what i posted
both configure.php files
anyway now i have some secure pages when you click check out
seems they are only in the checkout part of zencart .
also whats weird if i upload files with ws_ftp on a win98 i can do a chmod easy
on xp and ws_ftp the permissions wont set to the desired choice..have to use
the control panel file manager. thats a quirky deal.

setting 444 needs to be done in shell or cpanel
and yes only the checkout and account info pages are secure,
thats all that needs to be sucure

but i thought the whole site was to be , due to setting all 4
to https as per admin/includes/configure ?

also i think the redirect is at the host they worked on my site today
