I have just installed a MOD that's completely messed up my site layout.

How on earth do I uninstall these 2 SQL patches? Please, I need very basic instructions as I have no clue where to start:

Add new column to products_options to indicate if stock should be tracked

for an option

It doesn't have any options to disable it from the admin, it has 4 settings, none of which are off. Totally screwed up the layout, pushed the tabs to the bottom, added an extra large image and deleted the additional images... What a mess :cry::cry:

is there some way to write an uninstall patch for this?

I think I'm going to need a clean install here.... can anyone help?

I'm thinking about completely deleting the ADMIN folder and re-uploading the install ADMIN folder then having to go through and install all the working SQL patches and redo all the settings...

Surely there's something less drastic I can do here?

run this from your Admin > Install SQL Patches

DELETE FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_title = 'Dynamic Drop Downs';
DELETE FROM configuration WHERE 'configuration_group_id' = 888001;
ALTER TABLE products_options DROP products_options_track_stock;

Now I'm getting this mesasge on product pages:

1054 Unknown column 'popt.products_options_track_stock' in 'field list'

You'll now need to go and remove any file modifications that were made

by file modification, you mean lines added to database._tables.php and product_info.php..... I already changed those back to their original state.

Should I delete all the files that this mod uploaded too?

I believe the mod you installed had a modified template file:
tpl_modules_attributes.php
that you should have installed at includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/

If you installed it in that folder, just delete it.
If you overwrote the original cart file at includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_modules_attributes.php you will have to upload a fresh, unmodified copy.

It installed a bunch of php files in the /includes/classes folder, but when I rename them it completely deletes the product page view altogether.

You should always install mods on a test site first - NEVER on a live site, and ALWAYS after making a backup...

I know, I've been working on this site (my first website btw) for a week now and I don't have a backup yet.

It's almost ready to start uploading our full range of products so tonight I will FTP the whole site to my HDD.

Then, tomorrow I'll create a test site in a sub folder for future testing of mods. GREAT IDEA THAT!

don't forget - apart from the files, a test site also means a different database (or a set of database tables with different prefix in the same database if your hosting allows you only one database)

I'm allowed up to 5 databases on the GoDaddy account I'm with, so basically it'd be a complete new install in a different folder.

I always was a daredevil, tempted to try again but this time just edit the new lines into the tpl_modules_attributes.php

Do you think I'd just need to copy in these 70 lines of code into the top of my own file?

no, I don't think that would work. Pay attention to the div classes that are being used and incorporate them into your stylesheet - you should get what you want that way.

Never mind, that was bonkers thing to say..... was thinking it was a different file, this one's not so different from my existing one :blush:
