Can't change main page descriptions

Can't change main page descriptions

I have been chasing this for days. I don't want to show any descriptions in the main content boxes of the home page. I can't find where this is called. I thought it might be a TM issue but it show the same with the default Green template too. I wouldn't mind the "..." as shown in the Specials and New but I would like to change the Featured Desc length. The admin setting don't seem to affect the main page unless I'm missing something.
Any help is appreciated.

Try admin/ all listing / display product description

You can also use
Setting is in ADMIN...PRODUCT LISTING...Display Product Description

Thank you Misty but I have tried everything I could think of in the Admin. Changing these setting in admin only changes the display for the listing pages, not the main page. The main page product desc's are what I would like to change.
"..." is all I get for Specials and New And 100 characters for featured. Both those admins are set to 150.

What happens when you switch templates back to default, Classic..
does same problem exist?

Yes, the home page descriptions remain the same. I thought it might be the TM template too.

Hi Misty,
No change to the home page featured listings. I tried a few of the positioning tools in admin/configuration/featured listing/ and they don't affect the home page Featured boxes. I tried in "classic" also, no affect.
