Can I use Zen Cart as checkout only?

Hello all. I am going to try and make this as painless as possible. I own a domain and have a music retail store called http://stringco.net. I use paypal as my gateway/cart, but have just found out that they take 3-5 and sometimes up to 7 days to transfer payments made by customers from my paypal account to my business account. Okay, so I decided to go with Authorize.net, they are cheaper and more importantly have a 1 day turn around. You buy today, and the money is available for me tomorrow. Anyways, I spent 6 months building my online store. I knew nothing at the beginning. I do not want to loose the layout of my store and neither do my customers. So, what I need to know is: Can I use zen cart to somehow link from my products at my site, to a zen cart, ssl protected checkout page? That's really all I need. Example: Go to http://stringco.net. On the left you'll see PRODUCTS, under that click on electric. You arrive at a page of electric guitar strings, their descriptions and price, as well as a yellow add to cart paypal button. Click the button at the top, the first yellow paypal button (DON'T WORRY YOU WON'T BE CHARGED ANYTHING!!!) and you are taken to a shopping cart page. You can either shop more or checkout. Well this is what I need from Zen Cart. A yellow add to cart button, (THE COLOR DOESN'T MATTER) and the shopping cart page and the checkout page. Is this even possible to do? And if so, would someone be so kind as to get me started in the right direction. Maybe even a tutorial or something. My email is [email protected] and my name is Brenton. Zencart has been designed as a complete solution and it is not really possible to clip "bits" off it to use parts of its functionality (unless you have several hundred hours, and a Doctorate in PHP).

Generally, it's possible with zencart to retain the cosmetic look of most websites.

Also, Zencart's logical procedures are similar to most reputable e-commerce packages, so customers like zencart stores as they are familiar with these procedures and processes.

Your current site must take up so much of your time! You could build a ZC site in a few days, and as it's database managed, your content will be so much easier to control!

Why not install a test shop in a sub-directory of your site and try it out?
