layout of footer links (sort order)?

Hi,

I've been re-arranging the sort order of the links in my footer but when I added a new EZ page and set the sort order it will not move to the end.

The new footer link appears in 2nd position no matter how high I set the sort order in the control panel. Also, it's placed two little :: right before the text.

All the other links in my footer have been added manually via tpl_footer.php which I am comfortable using. I'd have just added the new EZ page this way if I knew what it was called, i.e., what would I replace FILENAME_GV_FAQ, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_GV_FAQ with for the new page I've created?

Any ideas how I can move this to the end of the list of footer links?

Re: layout of footer links (sort order)?

You added a new ez-page.
If this is the first ez-page displayed by setting the footer sort order, it has nothing else to sort against. You are seeing the entire ez-page list in that second position - add another one in the same way and see what happens.

Re: layout of footer links (sort order)?

If you change all of your manually placed links to ez-page "internal links", they can all display in the same system and they will automatically sort themselves per the sort order you set in ez-pages control.

And if you don't like the standard :: ez-pages separator, you can change that in admin.

Re: layout of footer links (sort order)?

Thanks for that, I think I understand.

However, it'd be far easier for me to insert the page by editing the tpl_footer.php as I'd simply have to add just one link, whereas adding all of the pages via Admin would take longer.

Don't suppose you know what the page is referred to in PHP script. the other page links were added like this:

<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_CONTACT_US, '', 'SSL') . '">' . BOX_INFORMATION_CONTACT . '</a>'; ?></li>
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_ACCOUNT, '', 'SSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_MY_ACCOUNT . '</a>'; ?></li>
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_SHOPPING_CART, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_CART_CONTENTS . '</a>'; ?></li>
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_SHIPPING, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_SHIPPING_INFO . '</a>'; ?></li>
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_PRIVACY, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_PRIVACY_POLICY . '</a>'; ?></li>
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_SITE_MAP, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_SITE_MAP . '</a>'; ?></li>
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_UNSUBSCRIBE, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_UNSUBSCRIBE . '</a>'; ?></li>
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_DISCOUNT_COUPON, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_DISCOUNT_COUPON . '</a>'; ?></li>
<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_GV_FAQ, '', 'NONSSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_GV_FAQ . '</a>'; ?></li>

How would I add another link here to an EZ page? I don't know what it's called, I only know the URL.

Re: layout of footer links (sort order)?

You've never used ez-page internal links before, have you?
Tools > EZ-Pages >

Page Title: * Required

Open New Window:
Yes
No

Page is SSL:
Yes
No

Header:
Yes
No
Order:

Sidebox:
Yes
No
Order:

Footer:
Yes
No
Order:

Internal Link URL: []
If specified, the page content will be ignored and this INTERNAL alternate URL will be used to make the link
Example to Reviews: index.php?main_page=reviews
Example to My Account: index.php?main_page=account and mark as SSL

Is that so much more difficult than adding the whole link code to tpl_footer.php?

<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_ACCOUNT, '', 'SSL') . '">' . HEADER_TITLE_MY_ACCOUNT . '</a>'; ?></li>
