Shopping Cart Rules

Hi ZC forum,

I'm a web developer new to e-commerce.

One thing that I would like to know is how easy is it to create custom rules, e.g. put a free item in every cart, add an item for every five, products having components etc?

How easy is this to do with Zencart? Or is Zencart not the right product for this sort of customization?

Any input would be appreciated.

There are mods available that do this sort of thing (look for the free software link above left) and in the Wiki there are some examples of how you can develop your own (link above right).
