DB backup tool not working

Result code: 1
Warning 0 => 'mysqldump" "--host' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
Warning 1 => operable program or batch file.
Error Failure: The database has NOT been saved.

These are the error messages I get in Admin when attempting to backup database using the backup tool in Admin --> Tools.
Is it maybe because I set up a domain, https://www.example.com as explained in the ZC manual?
Don't think so because site works when typing http://localhost/mysite
Funny thing is I can use phpMyadmin to backup DB.
This is happening on my local test server:
XAMPP 1.7
Win XP SP3
ZC 1.3.8a

The tool used to work fine and I have saved several times with it, but all of a sudden I get error messages above.
Thanks in advance.

Re: DB backup tool not working

To make the tool work on Windows servers, you'll need to change some settings as documented in the readme and language file for the addon you're using.

Doc,
I am using your Backup MYSQL Plugin.
I've read about the exec() function.
This is happening in my local XAMPP server, which, by the way, crashed recently.
The reason for the crash was that I ran an aggressive disk cleanup utility, which deleted .tmp and 0 bytes files, that XAMPP needs.
I managed to get phpmyadmin up so backed up the DB, and, since I had a zip of the files, got everything back up, except for this utility.
I reinstalled XAMPP of course, thoroughly uninstalling it first.
I already ran the fix_cache_key.php and now am at a loss as to what is causing this.
It is not critical, since I have the phpmyadmin option, but it would be faster to backup from inside ZC and then zip everything.
What am I missing?

Doc,
As you can see above, I followed your renaming instructions in backup_mysql.php, but still in the dark.
I am not adding that " "--host part

If that doesn't work, then my guess is that the mysqldump.exe file is missing.

SUCCESS!!
The OS Delim thingy did the trick.
Now I have to be careful NOT to upload these modified files to live server, which runs on Linux.
Thanks.
