Email the shopping cart product data with attributes as an offer

Hi,
I'm using ZC 1.3.8 and trying to find a way to make an offer about selected product. The add-on module "Ask a question" could be modified by translating language files again otherwise but it doesn't include the attributes when it sends the product question.

So, I was thinking that after the customer selects the attributes, either straight on the product info page or then in the shopping cart page (I can translate language files again to make it look like an offer preview) the customer could send the offer and the email the admin would get would have product info, model number and the attributes info as well. Like the order confirmation has now but we can't have all the steps of the order (no shipping or payment info needed) but just clicking a button either on product info page or on the following shopping cart, it would send an email to the customer and to the administrator with the selected product data.

How could this be done? Basicly the database has the info but just to pick the right stuff in the process and send it, right?

There is the button in the confirmation page and after pushing that it sends an email to the customer and to admin. Is it so that this action of sending email is directly linked with the action of pushing the button? Can I just make the same action from the shopping basket page and remove from the the action those shipping / payment related things? I was trying to search how this action / function is called but I could not find...

Sending an email about the content of the shopping basket should not be that difficult I guess. Any idea?
