How do I 'view cart'?

Hi,

I've just installed ZenCart 1.3.8 and made a few tweaks regarding shipping, taxes and zones, and everything seems to be working ok. Also I've installed a few templates and have one operating on my site.

Now my problem is this, when i select a product - add to cart - nothing seems to happen and the page reloads. also i don't see the option for viewing the cart/basket contents, like i see on some other sites. And the other thing is - the cart contents sidebox is not being displayed on the right as i have set it up to.

Here are some settings:
Configuaration>My Store>Display cart after adding products>True

Configuaration>My Store>Store Status>Normal Store

Configuaration>Layout settings>Shopping Cart Box Status>1-Only when full

Configuaration>Layout settings>Shopping Cart - Show Totals>3= on: Items Amount

Tools>Layout Boxes Controller>Side Boxes/Shopping Cart>
Box Name: shopping_cart.php
Left/Right Column Status: ON
Location: (Single Column ignores this setting) RIGHT
Left/Right Column Sort Order: 2
Single Column Sort Order: 30
Single Column Status: OFF

Is there another module I need to install? what should I do?

You are currently using a Template Monster template...search this forum for them and the multitude of issues...

Thanks, but I don't think it is a template monster template - i had it from http://www.zenflavor.com/free-zen-cart-template-2-wide.html.

Also, the first thing i did do was search the forums but when your search term contains 'cart', then it is not much help when every post that contains zen-cart, which is nearly every post, comes up.:smile:

Try kobra's suggestion about switching temporarily to the 'Classic' template and see if the problem persists.

There is a thread here with a similar problem, though not about a brand-new site.

No, i can log in fine - i don't think it's anything to do with sessions. but i can't view order history as i haven't been able to order anything!

only mod i installed was the royal mail shipping module big_royalmail_v2.2

I noticed with these sites 'shopping cart' appears when something is added to cart.

obviously my site is not adding anything to the cart, therefore this is not updating?

Suspect that you have one or more bad/corrupt files

You can attempt to determine which by reviewing file sizes and noting any that are "0" bytes in size

Or easier at this point to reinstall

Never mind how many times you check/compare that what is installed mirrors what should be, there is always something you can find.

I had 3 files that were not fully uploaded:
includes/autoload_func.php
includes/form_check.js.php
includes/main_cart_actions.php

it's working fine so far,

Well seeing that it was not progressing and having installed many many of these - - If the files are all there and no possible conflictions modules added then it just works.

So it follows that yours was missing something???
