2 Quick Red Passion questions

Hi all

Completely new to Zen - my last shopping cart was cubecart and so I was not prepared to do anything myself last time. This time I am a little braver.....

I uploaded Red Passion (nice skin too) to my site running 1.3.8a and have 2 little problems that are just slightly stumping me.

1. How do I remove the text "TagLine Here"......I have looked in the headers and footers. If I were to guess I am thinking it is in the code.....but I am not brave enough yet to muck with that without knowing what I am doing. :blush: I did read through the text file but there is nothing in there and PHP and CSS are not something I know much about

2. Somehow I have a setting enabled which allows for the Product Categories to appear above the logo and banner at the top of the page. I need to turn this off but cannot find where. I have gone back through all the settings I have enabled and cannot find it anywhere. I know these are basic questions but I just cannot find the right setting......

I am so looking foward to getting the basic incarnation up and running......I hope to be live in the next couple of weeks.

Ok so I just answered Q2 on my own - getting better at this :smile:

And now I have found the other item.......

How did I fix these issues? OK here goes :smile:

Q Somehow I have a setting enabled which allows for the Product Categories to appear above the logo and banner at the top of the page.

A To change the “Sales Message Goes Here” or “Tagline Here” text to say what you want open the includes/languages/english/header.php file in your text editor. Find the following line of code: defineCOLOR="royalblue";[/COLOR]

Remove the text TagLine Here and then save it when it shows like this - COLOR="RoyalBlue"[/COLOR]; making sure to keep the apostrophes or whatever they are named.

A The second I found by using the search function so the details are as follows:-

If you are looking at the Category Links at the top of the page ... then you need to disable the Category Tabs ...

Configuration ... Layout Settings ...

Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF
Categories-Tabs
This enables the display of your store's categories as a menu across the top of your header. There are many potential creative uses for this.
0= Hide Categories Tabs
1= Show Categories Tabs
