State sales tax help

I've installed a new store and I am setting up the sales taxes and zones. My home state is Georgia and sales for the other states show up correctly (they show the gross price of the item). My home state when ordering shows the net price and then adds the sales tax back on to the item. I've searched the forums for several days and have been unable to find anything to correct this problem.:frusty:

The install is 1.3.8 on a linux server with current php and mysql on it.

I've got a similar problem and can't fidn anything on the forums either. My state is Florida. I want to charge the sales tax but every time I set it up (and I know I am doing it correctly) Zen Cart still shows sales tax as zero.
I give up.

I'm from Georgia also and just installed ZenCart...did you find a solution for this problem? Also, I'm in Atlanta, and I know certain counties here have different sales tax. Have you run into this problem before? Thank you for any suggestions!
