I know nothing about web design, that's why I prefer to buy templates. What's the reason that cause that a template need to be redone for any new version? It could be done easily by a non web designer/programmer?

Essentially all templates function by offering customized versions of one or more of the standard "default" template files. A template will need to be rebuilt for a new version if the code the template works from has changed. In the v2.0 case, all of the code is changing drastically, and templates will have to change not just minor details but the basic structure of many files.
If you have to ask this question, it is not going to be practical for you to rebuild a template by yourself.

Also, Template Monster templates are badly coded to begin with, and will be difficult for professionals to convert to v2.0. They will have to have the code thrown out and started from scratch to make the same design.

I have seen some good samples on the hyperfileshare.com. That is just big file storage. Files are devidedc for the sections.
You just seems to be concentrated o the one template only and you need to have that done and redo. Maybe just easy will be find decent solution. (I mean the one which is already done)
