List items in rows of 3?

I use FileZilla to upload my files. I moved the files into a new folder so now I have a new template folder. The products are back on the page but they aren't in 3 columns. They are still in rows but the rows are now really spread apart.

Any thoughts on what's wrong? I even double checked to see if my Layout Settings were on columns and they are.

You have an odd mix of displays. The headings are being output as should only happen in rows mode, but not in a table, so there is a string of divs going down the page. The individual products should be floated left, but they don't have the wrappers that would allow that to happen.

I think that indicates that product_listing.php is missing or corrupt, while tpl_modules_product_listing.php is working in columns mode without the correct content input.

Based on the code I posted can you tell if anything is wrong. It's a fresh copy that I got from the download. And let me add...I'm sorry that I didn't post the code within a PHP window. I tried to edit the message to do that and it wouldn't let me. Sorry for such a long post with all that code.

At a quick look, there doesn't appear to be anything obviously wrong with the file, and if you haven't modified it, that is likely not the problem.

The next question is, exactly where is product_listing.php located (full filepath from /includes/)?

zita is my custom template folder.

The template that is active now is not /zita/, but /classic/:

That would explain why it is not seeing product_listing.php.

On another subject, it is generally a bad idea to have two main stylesheets at the same time - they can fight over control, and you may not be sure which one will affect a given element. Stylesheet_original has mostly table layout code, which is irrelevant to any recent version of Zen Cart. Rename it to stylesheet_original.bak and see if anything breaks; if not you can delete it, if so you can transfer the active rules to stylesheet_new.css before deleting stylesheet_original.css.

So if I move the file to includes/modules/classic would that solve the problem?

How do I make zita that active template?

It probably would for now.
You should follow the template tutorial and set up your custom template files correctly and activate them. If you have the /classic/ template files working the way you want, you can just copy them all over to /zita/ folders.
