How to have links to other sites in sidebox?

How do you add a heading, such as " Interesting sites" and right below it a list of links in one of the sideboxes. I've looked at "absolute links " module, but I can't get rid of the "absolute link heading" from showing up. If I edit this heading, I get more garbage showing...

I need this in order to fill the blank space under the Paypal logo with useful links that people can go to.

For a better idea of what I am talking about , you may look at my store...

Thanks in advance.

Re: How to have links to other sites in sidebox?

The best I was able to do with ez pages is to have the Heading show up on the top left corner of the side box, regardless of the many combinations of the "order" priorities". I realize that all of the other "headings" are part of the normal zencart sidebox headings.

Here I am trying to have a brand new heading, let's call it "test",
have it located as the last heading in the right sidebox, and under this heading the links....

thanks in advance

There is a module called "Blank Sidebox" that you can configure basically any way you want. It's in the free software addons section.

... but I question the commercial logic of providing customers with easy exits from your site?

It's hard enough getting customers... why provide them with an opportunity to disappear? Research shows that once someone leaves your site, there's less than a 10% chance they will return.

(Unless of course your site is not commercial, in which case it does not matter if they buy something or not.)

Re: How to have links to other sites in sidebox?

You raise an interesting point, to ensure that customers don't leave one's site. The dilemma is always one of having enough content in the early stages of a business....

I will look for the add on..
