Can I put User Login into a sidebox?

Hey all,
Is there a way to put the Welcome Guest!(index.php)Would you like to log yourself in? script into a sidebox or is there a sidebox maker FAQ that I havent found?
Im going to look into putting it in a banner but im not sure if that would be the optimal or easiest way any help? I have alot to do
