Bulk edit products to include tax class?

Hi. When I initially added my products, I did not specify a tax class. Is there a way to bulk define products' tax classes? ...Or do I have to go through each product one-by-one and edit?

Backup your database first ... then you can run this SQL command:

UPDATE products SET products_tax_class_id = XX;

where XX is the value you wish to use for all of your products ...

Hello all -

I tried the solution found here to process a bulk tax class update, but it fails.

I am on v1.3.9d and would like a SQL query that can do the whole process easily.

Our site has been up for a while now and I forgot to configure state taxes... We have thousands of products now and I could not possibly update them all manually.

Help is much appreciated!

I tried:

"UPDATE products SET products_tax_class_id = XX;"

Did you miss Ajeh's comment under the code snippet? "where XX is the value you wish to use for all of your products"...meaning the id of the tax class
