Side box links (Why does it look different in firefox and IE)

my site www.flaconline.com looks different in my firefox and IE. If you look at my links under "Whats Hot" (more information pages, page 2, page 3, page 4), the Healing Touch Massage link is on 1 line for firefox but two for IE (IE 7 i think). Any one have a suggestion to make it 1 line for both?

I attempted to make the .sideboxContent bigger in the css but it only worked on firefox i guess... Do I have to change something else?

Re: Side box links (Why does it look different in firefox and IE)

It appears you are using embedded styles within your template. (eg;the style tag below)

<!--// bof: moreinformation //--> <div class="leftBoxContainer" id="moreinformation" style="width: 150px;"> <h3 class="leftBoxHeading" id="moreinformationHeading">What's HOT!</h3> <div id="moreinformationContent" class="sideBoxContent">

sideBoxContent is defined in your stylesheet with a width of 170px, and it appears you have the column widths set to 200px.

You really shouldn't use embedded styles in such a way as they will interfere with the stylesheet and make it difficult for you to debug... Keep the styles in the stylesheet.

Re: Side box links (Why does it look different in firefox and IE)

Thanks for taking a look at that! I think I get what you are saying.

Is there an easy fix to make the column and sidebox wider without making the changes that I made in the stylesheet? Or css code that I should use instead?

By the way, its IE 6 that is causing me the problem. not IE 7.

Re: Side box links (Why does it look different in firefox and IE)

It would be far better to remove the extra style="width:xxxxx" tags from your template, and then style with CSS.

But do what you are comfortable doing...

Re: Side box links (Why does it look different in firefox and IE)

I would be happy to take it out of the template, however, i can't find:

<!--// bof: moreinformation //--> <div class="leftBoxContainer" id="moreinformation" style="width: 150px;"> <h3 class="leftBoxHeading" id="moreinformationHeading">What's HOT!</h3> <div id="moreinformationContent" class="sideBoxContent">

Where is the file so I can take out the width?

Thanks

Re: Side box links (Why does it look different in firefox and IE)

Before you start adjusting templates, you may want to check out the Layout settings in your shop admin;

Admin menu -> Configuration - >Layout Settings;

column width - left boxes
column width - right boxes

column width - left
column width - right
