Seeting the International Zones to 00 did not fix the issue. I also (just for kicks) did the remove/re-install of Zone Rates. Still getting the same Shipping Rates (Shipping to ): $0.00 with only one product in the cart.

I really do not know what to do at this point. Is there a mod that I need to take out and re-install? Start from scratch? (Please say :no: on this one)

I think I would have to look at your site and see how things are configured in your Zen Cart Admin and look at your database and code ...

Something is moofy here that is not apparent from the things we have covered so far in this thread ... :unsure:

You could try a clean install in a test directory with a test database and just see if that works on your server ...

If so, it might help you identify your issues ...

Otherwise, you may need someone to take a peek at your site and determine what is really broken ...

What are your "exact same problems" that you are experiencing? :smile:

oh im sorry i wasnt more specific. i have zen 1.3.8 with, a custom template , and a few add on mods but no shipping ones. im using table rate by wieght. so when i checkout, it says "zone rate (The shipping rate cannot be determined at this time). but the radio button for shipping option is checked. when i confirm order it does not charge for shiping. i used a different zip code fom my shipping and package zip.

Just to be consistent with the correct code, set these to:

Package Tare Small to Medium - added percentage:weight - 0:0
Larger packages - added packaging percentage:weight - 0:0

IF you want free on the last one, set it as:
10000:00

Otherwise you get that the rate cannot be computed ...

perfect!! it seems to be working. your help is greatly appreiated. another thing, where the sub total info is, it doesnt show the shipping charges and tax text,

ok did some more testing... i checked out under different shipping addresses and still my zone rates are not being calculated into the subtotal but the radio button is checked with "Zone Rates (The shipping rate cannot be determined at this time) text". so people are able to checkout with out getting charged for shipping.

Check your Zone Description that all is complete ...

What are your settings now in the Zone Rate zones shipping module?

by zone description if you mean... Locations / Taxes> zone definitions
i belive its completed.. the green dot is there. currently set false because of the issue.

when using just the table rate it works fine. i also got UPS mod on too. im also having minor probs with that. but one step at a time.

Are you wanting to use the Zone Rate zones or the Table Rate table shipping module?

Right now, you are showing the Zone Rate zones shipping module that I asked about ... but it is turned off ... do you think it is turned on? :unsure:

sorry for the confusion. im just using table rate as a tempoary solution. i turned of the zone for now because its in live production. ill turn it back for now before untill i leave in an hr or so.

Tables and Zones work in a similar manner ... make the last one 10000:0.00 and there won't be a charge and you can checkout ...

we are mking progress, i took your advice and the "The shipping rate cannot be determined at this time" msg is gone. thank you!! but the shipping still doesnt get calculated into the total.

the radio button is already preselected and the shipping isnt calculated. i confirm order and the page just reloads untill i physically click on the zone rate radio button then the order will process.

as a customer this can be very cofusing because the zone rate radio button is already checked and there is no warning msg or msg that says please select shipping. what else am i missing?

You are using an add on that has preset a Shipping method but has preset it incorrectly that while it is marked, it did not pre-set the variables correctly ...

So unless the customer click a different shipping method and then clicks back to Zone Rate it does not work right ...

You can either track down what is being incorrectly set, or contact the author of that add on to fix it ... or post in the Commercial Help Wanted and see if you can hire someone to fix this bug ...

the funny thing is when zone rates are set to false and only UPS mod is on it will calculate the shippin as well as the standerd table rate. do you have any idea of which file(s) can be the culprit?
