How do I use the Sort by instead of Filter Results by?

Hello Zenners,

I have been looking for a while for instructions on how to get the Sort by options (like the one that appears when you click on all products where you can search by model and product name), to be on the product categories pages instead of the Filter Results by: box that has the alphabet and number on it

This isn't possible with the current version of Zen Cart (or at least would not without some complex re-writing). There is a crude sort for the catgeory listing in that you can click on the price or item headings in the listing table and it will sort by these specific columns.

However, in Zen Cart 2.0 the product listings are consolidated.> DrByte:

product listings consolidated to share display logic, making it easier to display different views of information in a consistent formatThis should make it possible to use the sort feature in a consistent way across all listings.

If you're looking for the switch for the sort of All Products/New Products, I think it's Admin/Configuration/Product Listing/Include Product Listing Alpha Sorter Dropdown=false.
