Express Checkout - some orders show as paid by credit card?

This week i have had one order which didn't show up in Zencart, yet i received an email and funds in paypal, (tho the customers address details were in ZC). I was using the IPN module.

I then changed my setup to use Paypal Express

And since then i've received 2 orders which were processed as Paypal Transactions where the user doesn't have/ or doesn't log into their accounts.
This leaves ZC showing a status of 'Paid by Credit card' but NO MONEY enters my paypal account, and None leaves the purchasers account.

What are the best ways or resolving this, is it purely get a MERCHANT ACCOUNT ??
or does paypal Pro have an benefits ??

I'm based in the UK by the way.

Do you have the "Offline Credit Card" module installed but disabled?
There have been a few reported cases where disabled modules occasionally get triggered when leaving unused modules in a "enabled = false" state instead of clicking "Remove" to completely deactivate them.

Click "Remove" on all modules which you're not using.
Remember that the "freecharger" module is required to handle orders that are free.
