Linking same stock attributes to more than one product

Hi,

I'm setting up a new cart system for my site using zencart.

I sell dyes in 40 different colours. On my current site, I offer them as individual products or as part of a kit.

In my new shop, I've set up the product page to sell individual dyes. But, I can't figure out how to set up the kit product so that it uses the same stock (and deducts them from inventory). I only keep a maximum of three of each colour in stock.

Is this possible to do?

By default, ZenCart does not support inventory of attributes or "kit" making.
You should look at the 3rd party module "stock-by-attribures" for what it offers and for the kits you may require some additional custom code for the inventory tracking.....you might also look at X-Sell module
