Adding Yahoo group join now

I have been all day trying to figure out how or where to add the html for a join now Yahoo group. I want it at the bottom in the right sidebar. It has got to be easier to add the html somewhere than to install the links manager. I don't need any other links.

How about using the blank sidebox mod available from the add-ins area, putting the HTML in there and then enabling it to appear both right in the layout box controller.
