Remove Page Heading / Title from Ez Pages

Hi,

Each Ez Page has a heading / title which as default is usually the pages name apart from on 2 pages... the 'about us' page (shows company name as well) and the 'contact us' page (shows address as well)

Any ideas how to remove these default headings / Titles

my url is

https://www.kitchenandbedroominteriors.com/store

Many Many Thanks

Colin

Re: Remove Page Heading / Title from Ez Pages

add this to your stylesheet:-

#ezPagesHeading {
 display: none
 }

***PS: your images are way too big (file-size). They are taking an age to load.

Consider installing IH2 (Image Handler) - it does wonders for image management.***

Hi,

Thanks for the fast response...

I have tried your solution and it does not seem to make any difference. I assume we are pasting it in stylesheet.css???

I think that I had best point out that I am using the apple zen template. I have tried your code sniplet in both the apple zen css and in the classic css both had no effect.

url of my style sheet is:

Any Ideas m8?

Cheers

Re: Remove Page Heading / Title from Ez Pages

call up one of your EZpages, then look at the page SOURCE (html). Find the EZpage heading text in the html.

You will see what style ID or CLASS is being applied.

That will then be the ID (or CLASS) to which you apply the display:none declaration.

PS: for my EZPages, my suggestion works...

I don't see links to EZPages on your site. Point me to one and I'll have another go.

Re: Remove Page Heading / Title from Ez Pages

Hi,

I might be getting a little confused. I am assuming the pages i'm talking about are called ez pages.

On my site, in the side boxes on the right there is a layout box labeled 'information'

When any of these pages are clicked the following is displayed

on the shipping & returns page

  • it says "shipping & returns" in the top left corner of the main content (this needs deleting)

on the privacy notice page

  • it says "privacy notice" in the top left corner of the main content (this needs deleting)

on the about us page

  • it says "about kitchen & bedroom interiors ltd" in the top left corner of the main content (this needs deleting)

I have now found a solution to remove this text:
go to your files in the following directory:
INCLUDES/TEMPLATES/TEMPLATE_DEFAULT/TEMPLATES

open the relevant file and delete what ever appears for your <h1> tag, to delete the heading for the privacy page for example you would delete the following line:

<h1 id="privacyDefaultHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></h1>

Cheers

Re: Remove Page Heading / Title from Ez Pages

The "About Us" page may be in a different folder if you are using a custom template.

For instance I am using the apple zen template and my about us page is found at:

INCLUDES/TEMPLATES/APPLE_ZEN/TEMPLATES

These are BREADCRUMBS... and if you hover your mouse over the area to the LEFT of the ::, you will see a hyperlink. (So I don't know what you're doing to the code - be careful of getting into a mess)

You can turn breadcrumbs off in your admin panel.

Re: Remove Page Heading / Title from Ez Pages

Just wanted to update this since it helped me.

I found by looking at the page source that the style I wanted to change was the ezPagesHeading, which I found from a Dev Toolkit Search in was called in tpl_page_default.php, which was in the default template's template dir.

I changed it to be styled like the rest of my centerBoxWrapper: http://greenleafexhibits.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=22&chapter=5

Now any EZ page I create uses the shiny black box as a title bar.

Hopefully this will help others who are looking to do the same.
